Description

Back up FOR SALE! Check out the you tube video on the Video Link. Old Yeller is a 1971 Ford Econoline Custom 200 Super Van that was converted to a Class B Camper Van when new by Motor Homes Inc. of Lorain Ohio. They call it their 'minihome', and it is right at 16' long. This is a one family owned unit out of North Dakota that was always stored inside when not in use, and was not used for the last 30 years. First of all the van has 61,000 original miles. It is extremely solid and rust free. It has original paint with a few touch-up's over the years. Originally it came with a 302 V8 that was seized up from sitting so we replaced it with a Newer 5.0 Roller Cam, GT40p heads. It has a 3sp auto transmission, power steering, and 4 wheel drum brakes. An extensive list of new mechanical parts include the following: 5 Tires, brakes, exhaust, 5.0 motor, water pump, fuel pump, master cylinder, heater core, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, Accell Coil, thermostat, shocks with rear overloads, belts, hoses, batteries, cables, gauges, filters, fluids, rebuilt carburetor, power steering pump, steering bushing, etc. All of the factory gauges work as well as the aftermarket gauges. It is estimated that the motor has less than 1,000 miles on it and came from a salvage yard that gets old stock units directly from Ford. We used it as a long block and installed all of the original 1971 Ford parts on it to keep it as original as possible. So it has all new gaskets on the intake, oil pan, water pump, front cover, and valve covers. While it was apart the inside of the motor looked like it was brand new. The underneath of the van is in amazing condition, with no rust or rot . For exhaust it has stock manifolds to Y-Pipe then to 2.5" all the way back. It has a very nice rumble to it, and lets the 5.0 breath way better than the stock 2" exhaust that we replaced. Ford Van Options,.? Not many,,lol. Good ole Crank Windows with manual smoker vents, it has a vintage AM FM Cassette with one center speaker that is new. There is a heater, with defrost, wipers with high and low speeds, fresh air vents on both sides, and a 12V power port. (better known as a Cig Lighter). Pretty vintage and basic stuff. Now let's talk about the Minihome Camper Conversion. The basics is that it will sleep 4, 2 on the flip out couch, and 2 small folks on the upper pull out bunk (will need cushions). It has a rear kitchen that includes a new 3 burner stove, microwave, sink, cook vent, cupboards and a couple of drawers. On the right side there is what looks like a refrigerator, well it is not. What it is, is what they called an Ice Box way back when. You put ice, (or dry ice) on the shelf and as it melts it drains out of the van while keeping your stuff cold. Pretty Cool! (yes, pun intended) The RV conversion itself has all of the basics. It will sleep 4, 2 on the flip out couch, and 2 small folks on the upper pull out bunk (will need cushions). It has a rear kitchen that includes a new 3 burner stove, microwave, sink, cook vent, cupboards and a couple of drawers, and an Ice Box (Old School!). There is a Frame Mounted Propane Tank that runs the stove, and the Furnace. New 12V system and battery for the water pump, LED lights and power charging panel. There is a 25' pull out cord for plugging 110V in when camping, as well as water hookup. No water heater so the faucet will work on shore hookup on the left handle, and the water tank on the right handle. There are no holding tanks. There is a rear closet/bathroom with a removable porta potty as well. Lots of new parts, restoration and interior work as well. New flooring, water pump, thermostat, LED lights, 12V Batt, industrial countertops, microwave, curtains, 110V hookup, etc etc. I am sure I am missing something but check out the 100 pics and let me know if you have any questions, at 616-318-0118
