Description

ON HOLD, Sale Pending. Up for sale today is our One Owner 1974 Chevy P30 Xplorer 307 Class A Motor Home with 44,000 original miles. This unit has been stored inside a shop all of its life when not in use and very well maintained. It is in amazing original condition inside and out. You can also check out the quick you tube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxGGGCsUV-w&feature=youtu.be Here is the rundown: The Drivers part has power steering, power brakes, cruise control, AC (not operable) Heater, Defrost, AM FM Cassette, wipers, old school CB Radio, a single bucket seat for the driver, and a reversible double bench seat for the passenger seat. Full Gauges and most work in some fashion, including a tachometer and a vacuum gauge to monitor fuel mileage (pretty useless in a unit like this). Manual choke for the carburetor, and a 'power port' for all of your high tec goodies. The Coach itself is 25' long and has all of the amenities that you would expect in a high end motor home from the mid 70's, including plush gold upholstery and carpet, with gold vinyl in all of the right places, dark wood accents and grandma's kitchen wallpaper! It is very original and 70's vintage. It will sleep 4 easily, 6 if you want to be close, and 7 with the added bunk bed (not installed but included). It will seat 4 for dinner, 5 with seat belts going down the road and a total of a solid dozen for entertaining, assuming you have (or want) that many friends along. The kitchen offers a 4 burner stove, with an overhead oven, hood vent fan with light, double sink, large 3 way refrigerator, and TONS of drawers, cupboards and storage. For comfort there is a propane furnace and rooftop AC unit that works when plugged or will run on the onboard Onan 6KW Generator that has 87 hours on it. The rear Bath is a real treat with a full golden hew fiberglass enclosure, with sink, large stand up tub/shower with opera window, large closet with mirror, Medicine cabinet, RV toilet including Grandma's Shag Carpet Seat Cover (that we thoroughly cleaned btw.) It even has the old school Dixie Cup Wall Holder. There is tons of storage throughout the unit, All of the original lights work except for 2, the one above the dining table so we change that one out to a new led unit. The other was the outside porch light, so we have a new LED one installed that is motion detected and very bright. All of the interior camping systems work as they should, there is a new 12V water pump as well. All of the windows slide open and close, have nice screens and factory curtains that work well and look great. There is a complete water system with a very large fresh water tank, water pump, water heater that works off of the engine, or on 110V, and black/grey water holding tanks. The Coach is a Full Fiberglass body sitting on a Chevy P30 Chassis with the Big Block 454CI V8, and Turbo 400 Auto Transmission. This unit has 44,000 original miles on it. Custom headers and exhaust that sounds amazing, towing RV cam, 4bbl Carb, Amsoil Serviced. Runs Strong and drives well. Lots of new maintenance done: 3 new interstate batteries, rebuilt alternator, starter, power steering pump, fuel pump, new brakes, master cylinder, rims, tires, oil change, filters, ect. It is hard to stress enough on how really nice this vintage unit is. The paint outside is shiny, with no damage, the chrome is beautiful, the bumpers are straight, the inside has no water damage, the upholstery is in great shape, the wood is extremely well kept. It is like a true time capsule. The owners stopped camping in 1985 and everything was still in it when we got it. So we cleaned up some of the dishes and misc items and kept them with the unit. We believe this could easily be a museum piece. It runs great, drives well, is fully functional, most of the driving items work (ac does not) and while I feel that it would make any trip today, it is still a 1974 and will take some tinkerin
